| Bio Notes: | James Stalker Mackenzie was born in 1840, the youngest son of William Macdonald Mackenzie of Perth. Like his eldest brother William he became a civil engineer rather than an architect and followed him and another elder brother, David Mackenzie II, into the Liverpool Water Office. He died in Liverpool in 1858. |
