Bio Notes: Thomas Kemp was English-born and was an assistant in the office of Sir Charles Barry in London before emigrating to Melbourne where he formed a partnership with John George Knight under the name Knight & Kemp, architects and engineers. In 1855 Kemp returned to England and the partnership was dissolved, Knight taking Peter Kerr into partnership.
