Bio Notes: Alexander Maclean Goudie was born on ______, the son of Adam Goudie, master baker, and his wife Agnes MacLean. He was an Associate of the Glasgow Institute of Architects and was practising in Stranraer between the 1930s and the 1950s. In the 1930s he designed a number of houses for the Burgh of Stranraer.

In the 1960s Goudie formed a partnership with George Richard Hill as Goudie & Hill which lasted probably until Goudie's death. He died in Stranraer aged 65 on____(in the mid-1960s?), survived by his wife Anne Gertrude Porthouses and at least one son.
