Basic Biographical Details Name: | Harrison & Seth-Ward | Designation: | | Born: | 1898 | Died: | 1925(?) | Bio Notes: | William Henry Harrison was articled to Charles Kirk of Sleeford 1872-75. In the latter year he moved to London and completed his apprenticeship for two years in the office of George Hackford of Westminster with whom he remained as assistant 1878-79. He then travelled in Normandy and commenced practice in 1880 at 10 John Street, Adelphi. He was admitted FRIBA on 3 June 1889, his proposers being Thomas Chatfeild Clarke, Arthur William Blomfield and Joseph Sawyer. In 1898 he took Charles Melville Seth-Ward into partnership. Seth-Ward was born in 1868 and had worked in builders' offices from 1889 to 1891 prior to being articled first to Francis Inigo Thomas for a year and then to Ernest Newton, establishing his own practice in 1893.
Seth-Ward was admitted FRIBA in 1903. Harrison died in 1925 and in 1933 Seth-Ward formed a second partnership with Montagu Wheeler which lasted until 1935.
