Bio Notes: Alexander Grant practised in Inverness from at least 1894. He was given automatic admittance as LRIBA in 1925, without proposers; at that time his address was 6 Queensgate, Inverness. He was also a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers. He remained at the same address until at least 1950 when the practie was entitled George Gordon & Co indicating some kind of merger. By 1939 he had been joined by Alister M Grant, presumably his son. His declaration for acceptance of Licentiateship was witnessed by an Alex Campbell at the same address, of whom nothing is yet known; it is not clear whether they were partners.
