Bio Notes: Charles Macpherson (or McPherson) born in 1828 in Edinburgh, the son of James MacPherson, architect and his wife Isabella. He was articled to an architect but was appointed was Edinburgh Burgh Engineer in the 1860s. Both father and son worked from 50 Cumberland Street. By the time of Charles McPherson's death in about 1874 he was living at 10 Glengyle Terrace.
