Basic Biographical Details Name: | Freeman, Eden & Hodgson | Designation: | | Born: | 1902 | Died: | | Bio Notes: | Francis Charles Eden was born in 1864, the son of a barrister F M Eden, legal agent of the Duke of Buccleuch and was brought up at Broughton House where his father occupied a wing. Eden was educated at Wellington and articled to Bodley and Garner. In 1902 Eden formed a partnership with Percy Benjamin French Freeman who had been in practice since 1885, and Victor Tylston Hodgson, born 1875 at Welcombe Harpenden, who had been educated at Harrow and was briefly articled to Charles Trubshaw before transferring to Alfred Waterhouse and Son 1895-98, where he remained as assistant 1898-1900. Prioir to the partnership with Freeman and Eden he had been in the office of Dauber and Whitwell, 1900-1901. Freeman subsequently withdrew to form a partnership with Gilbert Francis Molyneux Ogilvy as Freeman and Ogilvy.
