Bio Notes: Alexander Gorrie Chalmers was a native of Perth, a son of John Chalmers, architect of Perth. Details of his early training and career are lacking but he moved to London to practise at some point but returned to Perth to work in his later years. He was a member of the Lodge of Scoone, one of the Perth High Constables and of the East Church. He retired in about 1932 and died on 20 February 1935. He was survived by his wife Jessie Berwick Burnet and left moveable estate of £2401 7s.
