Bio Notes: James Davidson was Clerk of Works to the Scottish Co-operative Society, and worked in co-operation with Bruce and Hay on the construction of the warehouses in Morrison and Dalintober Street and the bakery in McNeil Street, Glasgow. In 1887 Davidson planned the Scottish Co-operative Wholesale Society (SCWS) industrial estate at Shieldhall and he designed the factory buildings there from that date into the earlier 20th century.
