Bio Notes: John Bryce was burgh surveyor of Partick from 1905 until 1912 when the Burgh of Partick was taken into the City of Glasgow. He then became a member of staff in Glasgow's Office of Public Works under Alexander Beith McDonald. He appears to have moved to become Director of Housing in Glasgow in 1923 in which post he remained until 1928.
