Bio Notes: Arthur Geoffrey Bracewell was born on 27 October 1920, the son of Tillicoultry Burgh Architect Arthur Bracewell and his wife Janet Smith. He studied at Glasgow School of Architecture and was admitted ARIBA in 1950. He was taken into partnership by his father in 1952 as Arthur Bracewell & Son. He was elected FRIAS in 1961. By 1970 he was in practice as Bracewell Harrison & Coton; the firm still practices today under the name Bracewell Stirling Architects.

Bracewell died on 21 October 1987. He married twice, first to Constance Mary Howarth, and second to Elizabeth Margaret Harley or Page.
