Basic Biographical Details Name: | John M Forrester | Designation: | | Born: | c. 1856 | Died: | Late 1901 | Bio Notes: | Little is known of John M Forrester. He was born in Edinburgh about 1856. An architect, surveyor and valuator, he took his longstanding draughtsman Mr Graham into partnership in July 1901, along with John Brown (b. 1878), who had been working with him as a surveyor since April 1898 and assisting him with all aspects of his practice. The firm was known as Forrester, Graham & Brown. Forrester died just a few months after the partnership was formed, and the business was continued by Brown and Graham. In June 1903 their partnership was dissolved, Brown practising independently thereafter under the name of Forrester & Brown, Architects Surveyors & Valuators.
In 1895 Forrester was elected captain of the Edinburgh Heather Club.
Forrester was married. He died in late 1901.
