Bio Notes: William Craig Boyd was born in 1877. We know nothing of his early education but he was an apprentice in the office of Campbell Douglas & Morrison from September 1895 to January 1901. He then became assistant to William Flockhart, remaining there until July 1903. His movements for the rest of that year are unknown but he spent the first five months of 1904 travelling in France, Spain and Italy, setting up in independent practice in Glasgow thereafter. He was admitted LRIBA in the mass intake of 20 July 1911, proposed by John Bennie Wilson and the Glasgow Institute of Architects.

He died on 7 November 1958, leaving moveable estate of £35,109 7s 7d. He does not appear to have been married nor to have had a family.
