Bio Notes: Andrew Thomson was a native of Buchan and was originally apprenticed as a carpenter. He came to the attention of Matthews & Mackenzie of Aberdeen and was appointed an inspector of works, eventually reaching the position of chief assistant in that office. He left to become architect to the Duke of Richmond and Gordon, based at Braco Street, Fife-Keith. He died on 18 October 1913.
