Bio Notes: Edmond Patrick Sharkey was born on 30 July 1909 and studied at Aberdeen School of Architecture from 1925 to 1926 before embarking on a three-year apprenticeship in the office of Roy Meldrum. He then returned to the School of Architecture where he studied full-time in 1929-30 and 1934-5, assisting in various Aberdeen and provincial offices in the interim years. He passed the Professional Practice exam in July 1935 and it was either shortly before or after this that he moved to London. He was admitted ARIBA on 20 June 1938, his proposers being R Leslie Rollo, James Brown Nicol and another, and his nomination papers give a business address of 43 Bloomsbury Square and a private address of 157 Whitmore Road, Harrow. At that time he was about to take up a position as senior assistant in the Architect's Department, Town Hall, Oxford. No further details of him are yet known.

Sharkey died in London between July and September 1981.
