Bio Notes: Charles R Sey was born about 1847, the son of Alexander Sey, described as collector and pensioner in 1871, and his wife Jane. At that date the family lived in Gayfield Square.

From c. 1875 David Clunas was in partnership with Charles R Sey. Their practice appears to have been primarily industrial housings and their main claim to fame is their experiment with mass concrete as a low-cost solution for the Working Mens House Building Association in Dundee.
