Bio Notes: Henry (Harry) Bell Wesley Steele was born c.1852, the son of James Steele, plasterer and Ann Donaldson. No particulars of training are yet available. He married Rachel Waddell Watt. In 1886 he went into partnership with Andrew Balfour, eleven years his junior. Steele died at Hawthorn Villa, Hunters Quay on 1 January 1902, aged 49.
