Bio Notes: William Aitkenhead was a pupil of Richard Turner of Dublin, Hamilton and Glasgow, architect and glasshouse expert. He practised in Arbroath and Brechin from c.1860 to 1888 and was a very original architect with a predilection for striking geometric roof forms. He was briefly in partnership with James S Mason in the later 1870s.
